4-H Camp Brings Youth Outside

The ride home from a week of 4-H Camp is filled with “repeat after me” songs, chants, and laughter, all remnants from a week filled with fun, sunshine, and learning. Eleven Washington County 4-H’ers attended 4-H Camp at the Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center, in Reidsville, NC, July 9-14. 4-H Camp is a residential camping experience where participants spend 6 nights at the center.

4-H Camp provides opportunities for youth to participate in a variety of activities including horseback riding, rock climbing, swimming, and canoeing, all while learning important life-skills like teamwork, responsibility, and self-confidence.
