4-H District Activity Day

Chocowinity, NC – Washington County 4-H’ers participated in the 2016 Northeast District 4-H Presentation Contest on May 14th, 2015. The contests were held at Southside High School in Chocowinity, NC.

Four-H offers its members an advanced public speaking experience through this contest and encourages them to utilize their organizational and speaking skills in their communities, schools, and clubs.

The local 4-H members that participated were Keymiya Norman (14), Marisa Horton (14), Madeline Chandler (11), Emily Chandler (14), Heather Rogers (9), and Audrey Glass (17).

Judging took place on May 14th, 2016. Judges included educators, 4-H volunteers, faculty, and staff. Washington County 4-H’ers received many awards including 3 gold medals awarded to Audrey Glass, Madeline Chandler, and Emily Chandler, 1 silver medal awarded to Heather Rogers, and 2 blue entertains awards to Keymiya Norman and Marisa Horton. Marisa also received a participation award for her presentation.
