Spring Vegetable and Fruit Gardening Clinic

Join Gene Fox, Area Agriculture – Consumer Horticulture Extension Agent, and the Beaufort County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers for a quick breakfast during our introductory clinic for beginning vegetable and fruit gardeners.

This clinic will discuss and demonstrate how to grow vegetable plants from seed, growing fruit in the home landscape, essential elements of productive soils, garden location, impacts of adverse weather, choosing specific varieties, seed sources, basic disease, and insect control. The presentation will be approximately 30 minutes with an open 15-minute question and answer session fielding all home lawn, garden, and landscaping questions. This free clinic will begin at 9:00 am, February 4, 2016 at the Washington County Center. Please call Christie Bell at (252)793-2163 to register by February 1, 2016.
